For over 20 years, the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein (CHAM) has been a premier academic children’s hospital, nationally renowned for its clinical excellence, innovative research, and outstanding outcomes. CHAM is the only hospital in the Bronx exclusively dedicated to meeting the healthcare needs of children, treating nearly 200,000 patients in its emergency department, outpatient clinics and health clinics each year.  

Since opening in 2001, CHAM’s goal has been to provide children with the best opportunity to lead active and healthy lives and realize their full potential. To achieve this, CHAM has recruited some of the world’s leading pediatric specialists and child health investigators and implemented the latest medical technologies to deliver the highest quality and safest healthcare with compassion and sensitivity to the needs of the children, families, and communities it serves.

Since 2001, clinician-scientists at CHAM and our Albert Einstein College of Medicine have secured approximately $441M in research funding, including more than $165M from the National Institutes of Health, and enrolled children in hundreds of clinical trials.
