Session Description: This course is designed to deliver an overview of current research advances and clinical practice strategies in pediatric kidney transplantation. Course will include preparing patients for transplant, basics of transplant immunology, induction & maintenance immunosuppression strategies, pathophysiology, and management of complications (including rejection, viral infections, malignancies, and recurrent FSGS), as well as management of non-adherence & transition to adult care. Presentations will incorporate discussion of complex cases where applicable.
The session will aim to cover current clinical practice strategies, review research advances, foster ideas for future research, quality improvement projects, and overall improved care.
