Workshop Description: This condensed half-day workshop, organized by the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS) as part of the meetID program, introduces premedical students, medical students, residents, and early-career health professionals to the field of pediatric infectious diseases (PID). The workshop covers the key roles of PID career exploration, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the importance of diversity in the field. Participants will engage in interactive discussions and networking with PID experts and mentors, with a focus on fostering diversity and inclusivity.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to understand Pediatric Infectious Diseases (PID) as a Specialty: Explore the impact of PID on child health and its role in healthcare.
Upon completion, participants will be able to build connections with PID mentors and leaders for guidance and support.
Upon completion, participants will learn how different healthcare professionals work together in managing pediatric infectious diseases.
