Join us for an immersive, hands-on workshop designed to deepen your connection with the environment and foster meaningful peer-to-peer networking in the field of environmental health. We will begin with an outdoor experience, surrounded by Hawaii’s natural beauty, to reflect on the significance of nature in environmental and public health. Participants will engage in activities that allow them to appreciate the local ecosystem while connecting with one another to exchange knowledge, career experiences, and mentorship.
Following the immersive activity, we will host a speaker from a local environmental advocacy group, such as the Sierra Oahu group, or a facilitated group discussion to discuss climate-related risks that uniquely affect Hawaii and other island nations. By the end of this workshop, participants will leave with a deeper understanding of climate risks specific to Hawaii, actionable ideas to support environmental health, and strengthened connections with peers who share a passion for protecting our planet and promoting health equity.
