The mission of this SIG session is to highlight our member’s innovative collaborations (i.e., Team Science) that have resulted in improving patient centered outcomes across diverse pediatric populations. In this session our SIG chairs, Drs. Kaar and Natale will provide a clear vision of our SIG’s mission to provide a forum for sharing ideas, methodologies, and support career development and collaborations across sub-specialties. Further, we will discuss the importance of Team Science, offer initial ideas on how we can connect and network during this event and then introduce the speakers who each of moved forward successful Team Science initiatives. The speakers will then be provided time to discuss the formation of their initiatives – starting with the generation of idea through the logistics of “getting the work done” to an array of various outcomes they accomplished.

Learning Objectives:

Define the mission of our SIG and the concept of Team Science.
Identify novel initiatives across sub-specialties & processes that led to successful collaborations.
Recognize barriers and facilitators (i.e., lessons learned) of discussed Team Science initiatives to consider when moving forward future initiatives.
