Workshop Description: Combine the worlds of medicine and fantasy in a gamified learning experience framing NICU lactation support within a Dungeons & Dragons- inspired adventure. Explore novel strategies to overcome obstacles in your quest to optimize provision of Mother's Own Milk (MOM) in a NICU setting. This interactive problem-solving workshop will use the power of storytelling to examine barriers that impede milk provision and strategies to disrupt the current system. Move collaborative breastfeeding support from fantasy to reality by embarking on a quest to navigate the Lactation Labyrinth and discover novel and achievable lactation care strategies. This workshop will give participants a fun and memorable learning experience, enhance knowledge of lactation physiology, identify gaps and barriers to care, improve breastfeeding support skills, and strengthen team-based approaches to lactation care. *No experience with Dungeons & Dragons is needed to play and learn from this high-yield, practical workshop.
