Session Description: The new strategic plan for SPR will be unveiled, including the domains of research excellence, collaboration and networking, scientific career development, and advocacy and policy influence. Leaders of each committee in the new council structure will discuss plans to achieve the goals and strategic objectives for the Society. Opportunities for members to actively engage in the strategic plan will be presented.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how SPR is working to cultivate a diverse network of child health researchers through collaboration, community, mentorship, and advocacy.
  • Understand the opportunities for engagement to help further the vision of promoting child health.
  • Develop connections outside of your own research discipline or institution to help enhance your scientific career development.
