Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), even of low grade which has regressed, is a lifelong disease with major quality of life implications for our preterm population. This postgraduate course is designed to engage residents, fellows, faculty and any other interested individuals and to discuss the etiology, science, and clinical practices related to ROP. Our multi-disciplinary faculty will cover the etiological, neonatal, retinal screening and ophthalmological facets of the disease with participation form experts who will delve into global practices and neurodevelopmental associations of this disease. We will introduce a multi-disciplinary curriculum including national and international clinical and science neonatal ROP experts along with ophthalmology colleagues who study and treat ROP and develop tech/AI. We will guide attendees to use this knowledge in probing related scientific questions and explore the critical gaps in knowledge we need to address to improve outcomes.
