This session will focus on faculty career advancement through the use of pediatric clinical research networks. The SIG co-chairs will kick off the session by outlining the structure and infrastructure of pediatric clinical research networks used for patient-centered research. Invited speakers from selected networks will then discuss the challenges and opportunities for conducting research using these networks. Three key features will be highlighted, including mentorship, research training, and the opportunity to pursue team science. The session will conclude with discussions about establishing a mentoring network to aid in the development of large-scale collaborative proposals that make use of these networks. This session is intended for faculty who are considering collaborating with existing pediatric clinical research networks or establishing a new network.
